Charlotte is a History PhD student studying post-WWII United States urban history, with a focus on the history of the carceral state, prison movements, militarized policing, and racial inequality.

Prior to graduate school, she worked in affordable housing and housing justice advocacy in the East Bay Area. She graduated from St. Olaf College in 2013.
