Ian O’Kelley is a student activist based in Washington, D.C. who is committed to fighting injustice and helping to make positive change in their communities. They are pursuing a dual BA degree in International Affairs and Psychology.

In their time in D.C., Ian has focused in particular on the rights of queer/LGBTQIA+ individuals, workers, disabled people Palestinians, and immigrants on and off campus.

They are a worker in their university’s LGBTQIA+ Resource Center, where they work to create on-campus resources and events for queer students of all brands. They are also the founder of a politically-oriented group for LGBTQIA+ students.

They have been an active participant in the campaigns of their school’s Students for Justice in Palestine, working to make their campus a more accepting place for Palestinian students. They also work for the rights of the workers on their campus, most notably the custodial staff. They are also an active member and activist in their school’s Disabled Students Collective.
