A senior English and Latin American Studies major from Aguadilla Puerto Rico, who sees the liberation of Puerto Rico and Palestine as intrinsically intertwined. Ally is proudly Boricua, Jewish, and queer, and is unapologetic about her activist framework that centers the most marginalized in her communties. She is pursuing a career in higher education and student affairs, using her foundation in organizing and social justice to work for higher education access for all.
Ally is moving to New York City to be a middle school teacher for a few years before she applies for graduate school. She is incredibly passionate about building an ethical and human rights based practice in her career, and from her experiences with JVP and blacklisting is deeply invested in making sure student activism is taken seriously and protected. In her spiritual life, Ally is passionate about building leftist, diasporic, and anti-zionist Jewish community that is committed to solidarity and justice. In her free time, Ally loves to read and write, cook, drink coffee, and go on road trips.
