Originally from the West Coast of Canada, Geneviève Nevin is a community organizer and activist based in Ottawa (located on the unceded and unsurrendered territory of the Algonquin Territory), where she is currently completing an Honours French Immersion Bachelors degree in International Development and Globalization with a Minor in Aboriginal Studies at the University of Ottawa. She is deeply interested in politics and civic engagement and has worked extensively in the areas of sexual violence prevention, environmental and Indigenous advocacy, politics, and migrant rights. She is actively involved in movements for Palestine solidarity and Indigenous rights, particularly within the Jewish community, as an organizer with the Canadian Non-Profit Independent Jewish Voices.
